Learning how to restore a chair or small project is the perfect experience for those looking to try new things. Sad because I live so far away and you can’t come to my classes? I do like to travel you know. I’m open to conversations with you or your local maker and upholstery shops to take this show on the road! Whatever your need, a private party may be the right solution for you.

I am pinning my boxing strip to the top and bottom of the seat cushion. I’ve measured precisely, but it always seems that the boxing strip is a little longer and I end up having to take tiny tucks together it. What am I doing wrong?

Hey there. I totally feel your pain. All of my early box cushions and panels did this too! I learned it's because the fabric layers move under the sewing machine at a different rate, causing it to slip and move as you sew. This is most cumbersome with domestic...

I have four arm chairs with springs in the seats. Odd thing is the original has “no-sag” springs without clips under coil springs, no webbing. They are tied together. Have you ever seen this done? should I put webbing under it all?
