Fantastic question. Now, while I do not practice auto marine upholstery, and I’m not actually sure if you meant car seat as in baby seat, or the seat in a car, what I can tell you is that the skills I teach for home furnishing upholstery, are applicable to auto marine upholstery. In terms of sewing, pattern making… It’s the same deal, typically it’s the way that it attaches that varies, and there is a lot more complexity into the pattern making.

I’d say try it for one class and see if you can get anything out of it. I can help you understand the fundamentals of how it has to be cut, arranged, sewn, everything of that nature, but we can investigate together any aspects that might be unfamiliar to me in class.
