Want to learn how to restore and reupholster furniture while helping those in need? We could really use your help on Wednesdays at HouseN2Home! 

HouseN2Home is a non-profit organization that provides everything anyone needs to make a house a home, to individuals moving into new homes after previously being unhoused. They receive donations of furniture that they donate to these families in need, but sometimes they need a bit of restoration or repairs. When you come volunteer with me at HN2H, I’ll show you the ropes and you can get creative, restoring beautiful furniture for those in need. For anyone who has never been to HouseN2Home, the directions can be a little confusing the first time around, so use the instructions below to guide you:

• Class Schedule: All regular weekend classes January – March will be at HouseN2Home Headquarters, located at 5361 McAuley Drive, Suite 1125, Ypsilanti, 48197.

  CLASS IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR!

  Important: If you use GPS with this address, you may end up at the wrong entrance. Instead, please follow these directions:

• There is only one flashing crosswalk sign on the campus of the hospital—that’s where you need to turn.
  
• Look for a large white sign for “St. Joseph’s Village” at the corner; turn in that direction. We share a driveway with the Village.
  
• Continue down the driveway, passing the Village on your left, until you reach our small parking lot at the end. You can park in the large lot and take the sidewalk to the 2nd-floor door.  Someone will be nearby with a cart to carry your furniture and to help direct you to the classroom.
• If you enter on the 1st floor you will see this sign on the door. Take the stairs or elevator up. There will be signs and staff on both floors to guide you.
